I love the tactile experience of working with clay and want to create pieces that allow people to connect with the clay piece whether through texture and shape or some visual aspect of the piece that encourages a person to pause to consider what's going on with the piece. One of my favorite times of the ceramic process is when the piece is completed but not yet dry, leather hard. It is at this point when I feel like the clay is alive.
